As part of the notes for Android 11, a feature for sharing files called Fast Share is mentioned. There is a known problem with this function: when it is used to transfer files between two Pixel 4 devices, the recipient's phone reports that the file was not received, even if the transfer was successful.

The first reports on sharing opportunities appeared back in mid-2019. Then the function was called Fast Share. And although it also bears this name in a note, a recent discovery by XDA developers of a feature showed that it received another name - Nearby Sharing. However, no matter how this function is called, it will give people the opportunity to easily share files with other Android users who are in close proximity. Google has not yet announced when it will make this feature available, but it is expected that access to the new feature will be provided in older versions of the platform.
